Brian Austin Green Says Tiffani Thiessen Joining 90210 Hurt Their Relationship
Brian Austin Green recently opened up on his podcast Oldish about how things got complicated when his then-girlfriend Tiffani Thiessen joined the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210.
Before they dated, Brian had a crush on Tiffani, who was already popular from Saved by the Bell. He didn’t think he had a chance with her but was thrilled when she showed interest. Things were great at first, but once she joined the 90210 cast, everything started to change.
According to Brian, 90210 felt like his second home. So when Tiffani became a regular on the show — replacing Shannen Doherty’s character — he felt like his personal space was invaded.
“I didn’t handle it well,” Brian admitted. “She had a dressing room near mine, different call times, and worked with other people more than with me. It started to feel weird, and I got really jealous.”
As Tiffani’s character got involved in storylines with other male cast members, Brian says he struggled to separate work from their personal life. Eventually, that tension affected their relationship, and they broke up — even though they still had to work together on set.
Brian now says he regrets how he acted. “She didn’t write the scripts. It wasn’t her fault,” he shared. “But I couldn’t see that back then.”
Despite the ups and downs, both Brian and Tiffani have moved on. Brian has four kids with ex-wife Megan Fox and fiancée Sharna Burgess, while Tiffani is married with two children.
